Decca Muldowney

Decca Muldowney is a journalist and writer based in Oakland, California. She is managing editor of the local news site Bay Area Current. She also writes for outlets like The Verge and The New Internationalist about politics and tech. She was previously a reporter-researcher at The Daily Beast, an investigative researcher at Reveal, From the Center For Investigative Reporting, a fact checker at Pineapple Street Studios, a reporter at The Real Deal and a research fellow at ProPublica. She has a BA and MPhil in literature and theory from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Masters in investigative journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
